FALL ERGO BABY CARRIER NEWS
During the first weeks of Hurricane Kartrina we tried to reach the Red Cross, Salvation Army and United Way to find a way to donate carriers to the suffering, displaced parents and children of the disaster. Then on September 15, through the ‘coconut wireless’ (a local Maui term) we received an email from Sandi Degeyter, the Volunteer/Intake Coordinator for Acadiana Outreach Center in Lafayette, LA saying, “we have gotten calls from shelters asking for baby carriers.” “God answers all of our prayers and you have just provided one of them”. We simultaneously located The Star of Hope Women and Family Emergency Shelter in Houston, TX and Agape Warehousing in Kentucky arranged shipping for 252 carriers and 254 carriers were shipped directly from Hawaii. The Agape Service Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps hundreds of thousands people a year and we are very grateful for their assistance.
On November 12 and 13 we will be exhibiting at the 2nd Annual New Baby & Kids Expo, Hawaii’s Premier Family and Kids Event. It was created especially for Hawaii’s young families and kids, offering attendees invaluable information. It is being held at the
Neal Blaisdell Center in Honolulu. We will have a booth and be giving demonstrations on the use of The ERGO Baby Carrier. The demonstration area will feature qualified speakers and experts on childcare and child rearing. Speakers will offer timely, practical advice on child and prenatal care throughout the two-day show.
The ERGO Baby Carrier, Inc. is proud to have received in September the “Parenting Mom-Tested”tm Seal from Parenting Magazine. After Parenting’s team of editors and experts evaluates each item for overall safety, quality, effectiveness, and design, products are sent to mom-testers for evaluation with families in their own homes. Only those that meet the mom’s approval are granted the Mom-Tested seal.
NEW PRODUCTS
The first week in October, a new color of the New Generation Ergo will be available: INDIGO, a beautiful shade of Blue.
In late November, we are extremely excited to present a Limited Edition Certified 100% Organic Cotton Denim carrier to the New Generation line of products. Organic cotton is produced without the use of harsh chemicals. Instead natural fertilizers, compost and the use of natural pest control have helped make the growing of organic cotton a viable enterprise. The benefit of producing cotton organically, to the consumer …especially our babies…is the softness and quality that only organic cotton can provide. It is truly unmatched and one of the two reasons people choose organic cotton for their delicate baby’s skin.

WAREHOUSING
We are also pleased to announce that we now have warehouse fulfillment services in California and soon in Denmark. These facilities significantly improve our shipping efficiency to our domestic and international accounts.
