Slings are wonderful and I was somewhat content with a very top brand a friend bestowed upon me. Yes, I still had some troubleshooting. My shoulder and upper back ached fiercely after an hour and I still wasn't hands free. I had to support my baby when I bent down to dress a toddler or load the washing machine. It grew very painful on strenuous exercise walks but it was all I knew. I didn't complain and enjoyed wearing my baby ... UNTIL I discovered the 'Ergo' (named appropriately because it is designed to be ergonomically correct for you and your baby's back and chiropractic recommended.)

Daddy has gone to sea with the navy, we are in a new area, new house, and a baby is on the way. He is gone for the first time in Allie's life and my breast milk is drying up. One morning after a rough night's sleep, empty feeling in the family bed, and no milk all night, Allie wakes up crying and asks for Daddy and asks to nurse and then asks to be carried. So I asked her what she wanted to be carried in. She says "errrrgo". I get my ergo out and start to put it on my front,... as is most comfortable for me with my pregnancy.

Hello, this is our favourite picture with Ergo Carrier. The Ergo Carrier is perfect, we love it! Greetings from GermanyI just wanted to let you know that I just received my ergo carrier and I love it! Thank you so much for creating a carrier for a child who NEVER wants to be put down. I can still go about my daily activities without the stress of a screaming baby. Thanks again
Wonderful product! After spending a fortune in horrible baby carriers, I am so glad to have found yours I'm on baby #3 and baby carrier #8. I love it!!!! God Bless!
I just want to say that I am extremely happy with my recent purchase with ERGO. This is the first time I have contacted a manufacturer with a compliment, but this just had to be said.I have three sons and a daughter whom we are adopting from Korea. I have been on the hunt for a good, quality carrier at a reasonable price. After hearing about ERGO from some friends of mine, I had to give it a try. I ordered the carrier, diaper bag and front pouch combo in Cranberry and am just thrilled. The quality, ease of use and comfort level is phenomenal. I had to go back online today to get myself the tote. I only wish I had this carrier with my sons who are now 4 and twins 3 and 3. I cannot wait to get my daughter into it when she lands in the US. One of my three year olds has already tried it out and we had a blast in it. Thanks so much for providing such a wonderful product. This day and age, so few products live up to my expectations...I am so happy your product surpassed them. Refreshing!!!
Okay, I just had to send an email regarding this baby carrier. I have absolutely no vested interest in this company whatsoever but just wanted to share some thoughts for those moms who like to wear their babies. This is an AWESOME carrier. It's a front, hip, or back style carrier and fits babies up to 40#. I've been using the baby Bjorn and a sling since my son was born 6 months ago but find my back and shoulder are becoming very sore and uncomfortable. I was looking for a back-pack style carrier that was easy to transport and use while out hiking (now that we finally have sun). I have a Kelty Kids back pack that a friend gave to me but it's very bulky so I'm reluctant to use it. In any case, a friend recommended the Ergo carrier to me and I took her advice. I just have to say how happy I am with this carrier.

Looove your product! My sister has one and I have been using it here and there for my 14 month old and my three year old. It really works great! For both of them! I have a Kelty Meadow framed backpack and although it has done the trick, it just wasn't comfortable, especially on those looong hikes. I couldn't wear it in the grocery store either because I was afraid the frame would knock stuff off the shelves as I walked through the skinny isles. Plus, it only goes up to 40 pounds. But the ERGO......ahhh the ergo. It's like I'm carrying my kids in a piggy-back except I have both hands free!!!!!!!( which is something I find very handy considering I have three children 5 and under....and oh yes...they are runners!)

We love our ERGO!! Thank you for such an awesome product!I am so incredibly happy with my ERGO! What a fabulous experience shopping with you... from the helpful advice on the phone (I purchased the camel color to show less dirt, thank you very much), the quick delivery of a beautifully packaged backpack, and the FABULOUSLY well designed ERGO! I have never been able to use any sling, pack, etc prior to the ERGO. I recommended it highly on Dr. Sears message board, a site where lots of attached moms frequent. I just heard back from another mom who experienced the same thing with her new ERGO. Bravo! PS You also did a superb job designing the handy waist pack. I gave this backpack/waist pack combo to myself and my 2-year-old daughter as our birthday gift. She enjoys our nightly walks. I went the first night for 2 1/2 miles without any aches. Amazing. And that's without exercise for 2 years! I really am happy. Mahalo!!
I live on an Army base in Germany with my husband, Karl, and two-year-old son, Hudson. Ever since Hudson got too heavy for me to comfortably wear in the Baby Bjorn (about 15-16 pounds, and since he was just shy of 10 pounds at birth, that didn't take long), I've been looking for another alternative. My husband and I have been determined that having a young child would not prevent us from traveling and really enjoying our time here in Europe. We can usually just use the stroller, but there are times when we have to park it, such as when we tour a castle with lots of stairs or a palace (Versailles comes to mind) which doesn't allow strollers beyond the coat check area. I've tried a pouch, a ring-sling, a hip hammock and a Didymos, which all fit in the stroller basket or diaper bag, but which all have various drawbacks. All but the Didymos were uncomfortable after a short time because all of the weight was on one or both shoulders, and while the Didymos could be tied to put my son on my back (more comfortable), all that fabric could be a pain in the behind and made it difficult when my son wasn't at his most cooperative. When we moved to the Alps, we also bought a high-end frame-style backpack carrier, which is more comfortable for longer periods of time with a larger child, but which is not very portable for traveling (doesn't fit in the stroller basket) and is nearly impossible for me to put on by myself. So after all that money invested in carriers, I still didn't have the optimum solution. The problem became more acute in the last couple of months thanks to the impending arrival of our second son.

I just wanted to let you know that I ordered my carrier on Tuesday and received it Friday morning. Much much faster than I expected!! Thanks so much. I just put it on and took my daughter on an hour hike and I can not believe how comfy it is. It is by far the best carrier ever. My shoulders did not hurt at all!!!! I had a pack similar to a Bjorn and a Kelty Kangaroo and this is far far better than both of those. I could never last an hour in those other two. My shoulders would be killing me by that time. This pack you have created is the best! Thanks so much!
I received my ERGO carrier today, Saturday, and I ordered it Thursday. It got here so fast!! I wore my 6 mo. old daughter in it on a long walk today, then again as I shopped. When I first put her in it, she giggled and smiled for the first 20 minutes of our walk! Then she was just content and relaxed. I was very happy too, to have her so close to me, and snuggly! After wearing her in the carrier for about 2 hours today, my back and shoulders never got tired, even though my daughter weighs 17 lbs. When I use the Baby Bjorn, my back hurts after about 20 minutes! I'm so pleased that my friend told me about your product. I've tried a sling, the Bjorn, a "Hip Hammock", an Infantino carrier, and one more front carrier, and your product is the best by far! I'm so excited to use it from this day forward.
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for a wonderful carrier! I was searching for one that I could use with my newborn, but continue to use as she grows. After looking at several websites I found yours! We have a 8 week old baby girl named Mazie and so far we have been putting her in the carrier once a day to get use to it. It is easy to put on and the infant insert is so helpful! My husband can't wait for her to get a little bigger so she can just slip in the front and off they go! I am sending you a picture of Mazie and I because I was only disaapointed not to see or hear from many parents of infants 0 - 2 months with your carrier. So maybe this will help with parents who have newborns and don't just want to buy a regular sling. Thanks Again!
Aloha. First of all, I would like to thank you for designing such a wonderful baby carrier. As a father of 2 sons, I have tried so many different types of carrier and nothing comes close to the ERGO. It is THE BEST baby carrier in the market! My wife and I bring out the ERGO everyday as my youngest son will only sleep when we put him in the ERGO. We call it his sleeping bag! While we carry the ERGO along the streets, many parents approached us to enquire about the carrier.

Hi there! I got an ERGO (new generation) about 2 1/2 weeks ago, and I love it! I had a sling when my son was a newborn and I liked it a lot, but then he grew and now he weighs 22 lbs! The sling was hurting my shoulder, and after trying this carrier, it is great! I barely feel the weight and the big bonus is that hubby will wear it too! The sleeping hood is great because I can put it on when he has fallen asleep on my back and it keeps his head from flopping around! The zippered pocket is great; we use it to keep an extra diaper or two. I also recently received the front pouch, and it is great! Don't change it! Just the right size for my wallet, cell and keys, and I like how I can put it on the front or back! It is just what I needed for going in and out of the store, or out for a walk down the street! Thank you!
Wish I had this with the other two!
We just received the ERGO Baby Carrier in the mail today (after much anticipation). I put our one year old in it right away. What an amazing carrier!! Thank you!! I have a terrible back and it is wonderful how the child's weight is distributed onto the hips!! We have tried several carriers, but I can tell....this will be the favorite! After about a half hour of wearing my daughter, I needed to give her lunch. I unhooked and was trying to swing her around to my front, BUT she wouldn't come....she was hugging my back tight not wanting to get out quite yet.....this is a first, she loved it too!! Thanks again!
The BEST carrier ever! Hi! I was just looking on your website at the New Generation ERGO and noticed you had a testimonials page so I had to send mine in. I have carried my daughter in the ERGO since she was only one month old. Now she is almost two and still likes to go on my back. It is so comfortable! Now whenever someone I know is going to have a baby I tell them the one essential is the ERGO. We live on a little island here in Washington and the word has gotten out. I see moms with ERGOS every time I go out and I always tell the ones who don't have one that they need one. Thank you so much for such a great product!
Hi. I just wanted to write to thank you for your ingenious product. Your baby carrier is SO much better than the Baby Bjorn I have been lugging my baby around in. My baby is almost 18 pounds at 6 months and wants to be carried all the time. The Baby Bjorn was killing my back because all of her weight hung on my shoulders. I have a Kelty backpack also and have used that on some short hikes. Not only was it heavy but my baby didn't like it. I reluctantly ordered the ERGO carrier thinking my baby probably wouldn't like being on my back but was willing to try anything at this point. The carrier arrived yesterday and I carried her around on my hip, which was comfortable and she was happy. Today my husband helped me put her on my back and we took her for a 45 minute hike. She absolutely loved it! She never fussed once (which is amazing in itself). Even more amazing was that I barely felt her on my back and I wasn't sore afterward.

Dear ERGO I want to thank you for a fabulous carrier. I started searching for a carrier for a Father's Day gift for my husband last year. He had wished he had one when we went to the zoo. Our son was almost a year old. So I sent out an email on BabyCenter asking what kind of carrier people recommended and received a reply suggesting the ERGO. I looked into it and thought it was a little pricey, but liked the facts that you could wear it front or back and for a child up to 60 lbs. (not that you'd really want to). I wanted one for myself so I could walk the dog and wear my son, and for excursions like shopping. It did take some experience to get my son into it without a problem, but this carrier is so comfortable. Both my son and dog get all excited when they see me getting it, they can be noisy about it. My son loves it. One of the things I love about it is that every time I wear it, I have the choice of front or back. I would and do highly recommend this carrier.
I wanted to thank you for making a great product With my 1st 2 children I tried cheaper run of the mill baby carriers like oshkosh and snugly, but when I used those, I was unable to carry my baby past a few months, and even then, I couldn't keep them in the carrier for any length of time. When I was pregnant with my 3rd baby, I researched 1st and found the ERGO. My son has been riding in the ERGO since he was 2 weeks old. When he was a newborn, he loved nursing in the ERGO (hands free for me) while walking to school. I teach at a home-based preschool and daycare and bring my baby to work with me each day, something that the ERGO helps to make easy. He is now 8 1/2 months old. He takes 2 plus walks to school with me everyday in the ERGO. I recommend the ERGO to all parents who desire to keep their babies close to them, while maintaining the freedom to get things done around the house, or at work.
Hello, I bought the ergo (new generation) several weeks ago and have carried my six month old daughter everywhere in it on my back. She loves it. The funniest thing is that here in Holland where baby wearing is the norm, a carrier like this is unknown. Most mothers wear a didymos style sling in the beginning and then switch to the Bjorn - (which is back breaking). I have mothers (and fathers, and grandmothers!) stopping me on the street asking me about it and where to get it. I think in the past two weeks I have given your website link to at least 15 people! I am happy to have started this trend in Amsterdam. I feel it is by far the most comfortable and practical sling I have tried (and I have tried MANY). I am so happy with my ergo! I even breastfed her in it on the go once - (this made me feel like I had advanced to a new level of motherhood!).I was wary of buying any new accoutrements for my baby ... it seems they out grow things so fast... and they can only fit in the Bjorn for 6 months! But the best thing I ever did was ask for my family to pool money for my daughter's first birthday present to get an ERGO. Saved!!!! My back, my family, and my baby, thank you. Even Kelty carriers were uncomfortable and pulled across my chest. I can adjust the straps on the ERGO "under' my ample breasts and be very comfortable. And thanks, too, for sending your business cards along with my purchase... now I can get errands done without the long Q & A sessions from inquisitive mothers looking for a better buy than all those other carriers. We intend to use the carrier frequently in Italy next year when we go for two months to Rome. Perhaps you should translate your cards to Italian, because you are going to have a lot of international requests coming along!!! Thanks again
I just wanted to write to tell you how much I appreciate your website, service, and the ERGO carrier. Your site made it easy to determine which carrier (new vs classic) would work best for us. It also helped solve any concerns about ordering "yet another expensive carrier/stroller" for our daughter (hubby's words) in that search for ease & practicality. The video demonstrating how to put a child in and how everything fit made me confident that I was ordering something extremely useful. Receiving it within 1 week of ordering all the way in Germany was surprisingly welcome.

I love this product! Hi, I just wanted to say how utterly thrilled we are with this product. My husband, my baby and I LOVE it! We've used a sling with our baby from day one, but at a year old and 25lbs, he was getting too heavy for me to carry on one hip and he's so boisterous that I've been nervous of carrying him on my back in the sling. So, two weeks ago, we ordered the new generation ERGO and we couldn't be happier. I'm back at work now so I have to take my son to daycare on the New York subway every day. Squeezing into an already-packed carriage with a stroller was awful and my baby was too heavy for the sling and a hip carrier I bought was appalling. The ERGO on the other hand, is perfect!

I just had to write to tell you that I'm still loving my Classic ERGO. It's now about 2 1/2 years old and we used it until my first was about 2 when she demanded to be able to walk everywhere. Now I'm using it for my new baby who is six months old. I was so happy when I was finally able to use it with her. I tried using the infant insert with it, but didn't like it. Now I'm able to just put her in it sitting upright on my front and we both love it. And people are still telling me that they've never seen one! I can't believe it because I know so many people who have them now. Just wanted to let you know how happy I still am with my ERGO!
Thank you so much for such a wonderful product! Ii thought it was expensive at first, but it is well worth the money. My daughter will fall asleep in the carrier, and I can type around her, which lets me get several hours of work done! i was starting to wonder how I could work and take care of her, and this has seriously solved my problems. plus it's great for walks, too! thanks again. PS: your customer service rep was great, too, when I called with a question.
