ERGObaby carrier > Baby Stories > Thank you for inventing and developing this product!Thank you for inventing and developing this product!
Thank you for inventing and developing this product! I bought this product in December when my baby was almost 5mo old and 14lbs; she is now 10mo and 26lbs.
My baby has loved being carried since birth, carrying her was the only way to calm her infant colic. The front carrier I originally used was only good until she was 10lbs; at that time I started developing back pain when carrying her for extended periods of time. With the ERGO baby carrier, I can carrier her for hours and feel comfortable the whole time.

The feature I love the most is the ability to carry her in the side position. In this position she can communicate with me and see the whole world. She laughs and gets excited when I put the ERGO on and I have no problem bringing her with me anywhere without any complaints. It also allows me to do many things while keeping her close to me (shopping, housework, cooking).
I wish I had known about this carrier before buying the expensive stroller I purchased while still pregnant. She loves being carried so much that I don't use the stroller. She cries and gets upset if I even attempt to use it!!! She loves being at my face level and feels part of any interaction I have along our path. I don't know what I would do without this carrier.
I also purchased the backpack and front pouch. The way everything fits together, I am not weighted down carrying different bags and don't have to worry about leaving anything behind (I'm still suffering from new mommy brain!) It also makes it easier to get to anything I may need (food, toys, wallet, etc.) without putting my baby down or stopping what I'm doing or where I'm going. I also don't have to worry that she may choke on any food as I can see her eating.
The only thing I haven't done with the carrier is breastfeed. My baby enjoys when we both that a break when she nurses, so this is the only time I stop when carrying her. I do find it easy to get her in a nursing position while she is still in the carrier (I don't have to take her out!).
I am also stopped often on the street and asked about my carrier. I am very proud to tell anyone about it and give them your website for ordering and more info.
Keep up your great work, and thank you again.
Sincerely,
Christina Rene de Cotret
