ERGObaby carrier > Baby Stories > January 2008

At the insistance of friends I am sharing this photo with you.

First of all I LOVE the ergo carrier and have managed to convince many friends to purchase it as well.  I have three children and am sad that it is only with my youngest that I discovered this carrier.  It's amazing.  I have tried most carriers out there.

My youngest daughter, Reese who is 9months old spends a lot of time in the carrier.  She loves to be on Mom and it just works.  Whether I'm cooking, at my sons t-ball game or picking up my older daughter from Kindergarten, she is in this ... sometimes on the front but most of the time these days on my back.  She is a big girl for her age (21 lbs) and this is fantastic. At my sister's wedding this past weekend, the children were all invited and I was a bridesmaid.  As the night went on and my baby wanted to be held, I still wanted to chat, mingle, dance with guests at the wedding so I strapped her on my back and we had a ball.  She was happy and content as she often is in the carrier and I didn't have to sit somewhere holding her or not have my hands free.  Everyone got a kick out of it!  She ended up falling asleep and I danced with her on my back.

WHAT A CARRIER!

Thank you!

I JUST purchased one of (your) carriers for my 4 month old because I hated the other brand that I had bought … I just popped him in it and it doesn’t even feel like I have a carrier on …
.  And, he used to cry and cry when I put him in the other one because it was such a production … this one … not a peep … he’s just happily sucking on one of the straps … excited that he has access to something new that he can put in his mouth … So far for me … not even a hint of it bothering my back!  FINALLY!

Thanks for making such a great product!  We’re going to test it snowshoeing tonight!

JosephineNalugo.jpgYou cannot imagine the smiles all over my face when I am sending you this mail! This is my first time carrying my baby, Charlene, using a professional carrier, this time the ERGO baby carrier! 3 People have asked me where I got it.

I have a little story I want to share with all of you at ERGO Baby Carrier, Inc. I hope you will find time to read it. When I had my first daughter Chantal, 3 years and 3 months ago 24th May 2004, I went through a lot of hard times when it came to carrying my baby to hospital, about 3 kilometres to my garden and 3 kilometres from the garden, Monday to Friday. I devised means by using a cloth and tied her on my back or lift her on my shoulders because I wanted her to be close to me all the time because I wanted to breastfeed her, as it was cheap and healthy for me to afford. I could walk half way and take a rest in the Jackfruit tree (see photo 2 attached) for about 20 minutes and then later proceed home. When I got a job in May 2006 that I could work 3 days a week 9am- 5pm for $150, and my days were reduced to 3 garden days when I would do the same, and I should say it has been very difficult. I have experienced serious back pains especially at the behind part of the shoulders. I had my second daughter, Charlene, on 19th February 2007 who is now 6 months and not much has changed as far as carrying her is concerned. I devised means using ordinary cloth. I have managed through with God's Guidance and protection. I am sure this pain is going away with the use of my present.

JenniferLembright.jpgDear ERGO Baby Carrier, Inc.,

My husband, 16 month old daughter and I moved to India this past spring for a position with a community development agency in Bangalore.  I purchased an ERGO Carrier shortly before leaving and I cannot tell you what a lifesaver it has been.  Between the chaotic Bangalorian streets and the increased amount of walking, I have used my ERGO every day.  Thank you for designing such a comfortable baby carrier option---my husband is equally impressed!

I also wanted to inquire about your international marketing of this product.  I have had so many young mothers (both Indian and Expats) ask about the carrier and I'm wondering if you have an established international marketing or distribution channel.  Let me know---I would be happy to assist within India!

Thank you again for such a wonderfully practical product.

Sincerely,
Jennifer

I love this carrier, the weight is nicely resting on your hips, thus preventing the shoulder pain as with other carrier(s). (E)ither on the front or on the back, your child will be as comfortable as you are. I even (carry) my 3 year old (nephew) without any problem. I would definitly recommend it.
